Job Description:

As the Head of Production, you will play a critical role in overseeing and optimizing our production processes. Your primary objective will be to ensure efficient and effective production operations while upholding the highest standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene. Reporting to the senior management team, you will be responsible for managing and leading a dynamic production team, driving productivity, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, plan, and optimize all aspects of production operations, including scheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
  • Implement and maintain food safety and quality management systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the production team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, maintenance, and quality assurance, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to drive innovation and competitiveness.
  • Prepare and manage the production budget, monitor expenses, and ensure cost control measures are in place.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior production management role within the food processing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality management systems, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated ability to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Solid understanding of production planning, capacity management, and resource allocation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.
  • Proficiency in using production management software and tools.
