Zamgoat, an impact agribusiness pioneering the value addition and improved distribution of goat products, is urgently seeking the services of qualified and vibrant candidates for the following positions:
1. Chief Operating Officer -COO (1)
Duties and Qualities:
Reporting to the CEO, the COO’s main duties will include participation in strategy formulation and capital raising, compiling operational and financial reports, implementing business strategies, and optimizing the operational capabilities of the company, among other duties as assigned from time to time.
The ideal candidate should be a skilled communicator, negotiator and effective leader, go-getter and business-driven person who can spur company growth, maintain key operational procedures, be innovative and create new processes, ensure day to day operational excellence, be resilient to work under pressure and have the ability to timely turnaround the growth prospects of a promising business.
A Degree in Agribusiness Management, Business, Finance, Economics or other relevant fields, with practical experience of at least two years working in senior management. A passion for the goat value chain will be an added advantage.
2. Finance and Administration Officer (1)
The Finance & Administration Officer will be responsible for performing a variety of financial and administrative duties including creating and implementing financial management systems and controls, s record keeping/bookkeeping, financial modeling and preparation of financial statements, creating staff contracts and overseeing other HR issues, managing payroll and supplier payments, ensuring company compliance with regulatory and statutory obligations (PACRA, ZRA, local authorities, etc) and other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
The ideal candidate should be a skilled communicator, effective leader and team builder, knowledgeable in computer usage and relevant accounting packages, motivated individual with the ability to under pressure, fulfill tasks before deadlines and work with minimum supervision.
Degree in Accountancy/Finance and or professional qualifications in accounting, Admin and HR management, with at least two years of working experience.
The duty station for both roles will be at Zamgoat Ten Miles in Lusaka and so candidates from within the Ten Miles area are highly preferred.
