JOB DETAILS:

In line with our corporate priorities aimed at ensuring optimization of revenue collection and increased tax compliance on one hand and the need to effectively manage the numerous challenges and opportunities in the fast-changing business environment on the other, we are seeking highly motivated, result-oriented, well-qualified and experienced professionals to fill the following vacant positions:

60.0 REVENUE CLERK – GRADE ZRA08 (25 POSITIONS) – DOMESTIC TAXES- INTERNAL ADVERT

Reporting to the assigned Supervisor, the job holder will be responsible for providing Taxpayer Services and Returns & Payments functions and other various responsibilities aimed at ensuring tax compliance and operational efficiency.

1. MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Acknowledging and maintaining a register of taxpayer correspondence;
• Following up non-filers and unaccompanied returns timely;
• Updating taxpayer demographics accurately and timely;
• Providing effective mail management services by ensuring that accurate registers for incoming and outgoing mail are in place to avoid mail delays and/ or misdirection and ensures that files are kept in a secure manner;
• Issuing forms, leaflets and other documentation as necessary;
• Dispatching letters and other documents;
• Implementing the Performance Management Development System in accordance with HR guidelines;
• Ensuring all physical documents are properly filed;
• Collecting and distribute office stationery to officers;
• Implementing risk management in all work processes; and
• Any other duties as assigned.

1. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 School Certificate or General Certificate of Education (GCE) equivalent;
• Diploma with a bias in Accountancy, Banking & Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration or Law. Professional qualifications such as Full ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ZICA; and
• Minimum of One (1) year relevant post qualifying work experience.
