Accountant

We are looking for an accountant who has a good knowledge in working with pastel software.

Roles will be

Financial Record-Keeping

Recording daily transactions (sales, purchases, payments, receipts).

Posting into accounting software (Pastel)

Accounts Receivable & Payable

Monitoring customer accounts

Following up on outstanding payments.

Verifying supplier invoices and processing payments.

Inventory Accounting

Matching purchase orders, goods received, and invoices.

Valuation of inventory (FIFO, Weighted Average).

Monitoring expiry dates and adjustments for write-offs.

Bank Reconciliations

Reconciling bank statements with internal records.

Verifying cash and MPESA/Bank deposits match daily sales.

Payroll Processing

Preparing salaries, statutory deductions (NAPSA, NHIMA, PAYE).

Ensuring timely submission to ZRA and other bodies.

Tax Compliance

Filing VAT, PAYE, income tax returns.

Keeping proper documentation for ZRA audits.

Reporting

Generating financial reports: P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow.

Budgeting and forecasting.
