We provide comprehensive healthcare services to NHIMA (National Health Insurance Management Authority) beneficiaries, cash clients, and manage various donor-funded projects aimed at improving healthcare access and quality in our community.
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with NHIMA regulations, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, and supporting budgeting processes. Additionally, the accountant will play a crucial role in reporting for donor-funded projects, ensuring transparency and accountability in financial management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Ensure compliance with NHIMA regulations and guidelines for healthcare facilities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads and senior management.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate audits and ensure timely submission of required financial documents.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for donor-funded projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with donor requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience as an accountant, preferably in a healthcare or nonprofit environment.
- Strong understanding of NHIMA regulations and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite; experience with QuickBooks or similar software preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
