Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant in our Lusaka office. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining and reconciling the general ledger, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining financial records, preparing tax returns, and assisting with budget preparation and cash flow management.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience in maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts
• Experience in preparing financial statements and managing accounts payable and receivable
• Knowledge of tax laws and ability to prepare tax returns
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is a plus
