We are looking for two detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Accountants to join our finance team:

1. Assistant Accountant – Revenue

Key Result Area:
Support all processes related to income generation and customer payments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Invoice Preparation and Issuance: Generate and send accurate invoices to customers (distributors, supermarkets, retail outlets).Sales Data Entry and
• Reconciliation: Post sales transactions into the accounting/ERP system and reconcile them with receipts or POS records.
• Customer Account Management: Monitor balances, follow up on overdue payments, and assist in issuing customer statements.
• Revenue Reporting: Prepare daily/weekly sales revenue summaries and report discrepancies.
• Audit Support: Provide customer account documentation during internal/external audits.
• Credit Control Support: Assist in evaluating credit limits and ensuring customer compliance with payment terms.

2. Assistant Accountant – Expenditure

Key Result Area:

Support all functions related to purchases, vendor payments, and expense tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Invoice Verification and Entry: Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and ensure proper accounting.
• Expense Management: Record operational expenses and reconcile petty cash reimbursements.
• Vendor Account Management: Maintain supplier records, prepare payment schedules, and resolve disputes.
• Expenditure Reporting: Produce monthly reports on costs and flag unusual expenses.
• Budget Compliance Support: Track expenditure against budgets and alert management of overspending.
• Audit Support: Provide documentation for vendor transactions during audits.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

1. Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role
3. Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (ERP experience is an advantage)
4. Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and organizational skills
5. High level of accuracy and integrity
6. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
7. Must be a registered member of ZICA
