Zambezi Innovate is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage and oversee financial operations. The Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing the company’s financial health by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.
Key Responsibilities
:

Prepare accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with regulations.

Oversee the accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.

Monitor and manage cash flow and ensure efficient financial planning.

Conduct financial audits and ensure that all financial transactions are compliant with regulatory and accounting standards.

Develop budgets and forecasts, ensuring they align with the company’s objectives.

Provide financial insights and strategies to support business growth.

Prepare and file tax returns while staying updated with Zambian tax regulations.

Ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
Requirements
:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ZICA.

Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting role.

Strong knowledge of Zambian tax laws and IFRS.

Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage or QuickBooks.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
