The National Assembly of Zambia invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following positions:

Accounts Assistant II (x3)

a. Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Receipting cash from the different sales point using the point of sale facility
• Ensure that all day-to-day transactions are accurately and promptly entered in the prime book of accounts and reconciled;
• Ensure that deposits are made timely and complete;
• Provide necessary information to guests at front office
• Submitting of payments to the Bank and the Ministry of Finance
• Reconciling of the Petty cash in the Cash office; Carrying out stock counts
• Preparing debtors and supplier reconciliations
• Preparing bank reconciliations; and
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

b. Qualifications and Experience

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate;
• CIMA Part I or ACCA Part I or ZICA Technician or equivalent;
• ZICA Member,
• Experience in the use of accounting packages is added advantage;
• Good MS word and excel skills; and
• Two (2) years work experience.
