FES Zambia Limited, a leading agricultural contractor and supplier of premium brands including Massey Ferguson tractors, AJ Power generators, Dezzi, and precision agriculture solutions has the following vacancy at our Mazabuka Branch:

Accounts Assistant – Treasury reporting to the Financial Accountant

Among other responsibilities, the successful applicant will be expected to:

• Ensure daily processing of all cash receipts
• Ensure daily postings of all petty cash
• Ensure that all petty cash disbursed is fully approved by the Head of Departments
• Follow up on petty cash receipts before a reimbursement
• Prepare daily cash sale report
• Ensure petty cash is reimbursed as and when required
• Ensure timely general ledger reconciliations
• Ensure that general ledger reconciliations are done by the last day of every month
• Ensure all outstanding items on the reconciliation are followed up timely with the relevant teams
• Perform daily bank reconciliations
• Monitor and ensure that deposits are processed in the Ledger
• Ensure proper filing of all journals posted in a month
• Provide information to Auditors at year end

Interested applicants should meet the following minimum criteria:

• Minimum of a Degree in accounting
• Analytical and able to meet deadlines
• Good attitude towards work
• Enthusiastic, positive energy and willing to learn
• 3 years’ experience in the same role
