JOB OPPORTUNITY: ACCOUNTS CLERK – DEPOT AUDIT

DATE: Wednesday 29th May 2024

RESPONSIBILITIES:

▪ Upload payments from depot POS to the accounting system.

▪ Reconciling payments from the depots against proof of payments.

▪ Posting of Journals.

▪ Post and verification of supplier invoices.

▪ Reconciliation of supplier-customer reports weekly and monthly.

▪ Offer administrative support to depots.

▪ Carry out stock management operations in line with set products/retail policies and procedures.

▪ Identify stock variances, reasons, and action plan.

▪ Report any financial and operational irregularities in the depots and ensure compliance is adhered to.

▪ Prepare stock reconciliations.

▪ Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information.

▪ Assist with ad-hoc administrative duties as and when required.

JOB LOCATION: ROSS BREEDERS ZAMBIA HEAD OFFICE, SHOWGROUNDS

ELIGIBILE TO APPLY: CURRENT ROSS BREEDERS EMPLOYEES IN ALL DIVISIONS

QUALIFICATION, REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

▪ Grade 12 certificate with credit or better in Mathematics and English.

▪ Diploma or Degree in accounting.

▪ Basic understanding of finance, accounting & bookkeeping

▪ Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel

▪ One year experience or more in the relevant field will be an added advantage.

▪ Strong analytical skills; problem-solving abilities; effective communication and interpersonal skills

▪ Adaptability and flexibility

▪ Team player, approachable, receptive to feedback from others

▪ Independent individual who can work in a fast-paced environment.

▪ Flexible to travel within Lusaka and out of Lusaka to conduct routine depot Stocktakes and other reconciliation requirements.
