In But Free is a Non-Governmental Organization whose main objective is to promote Health and sustainable Livelihood in Zambian congregate settings. The organization has been continuing to provide evidence-based interventions, it has been in existence for over 29 years.

The organisation invites interested and suitable candidate to fill the position of an Accounts Officer
Reports to Finance and Administration Manager

Key Responsibilities

1.0 As Accounts Officer, you shall be responsible for:
1. Preparation of Bank reconciliation statement every month both manual and electronically in Quick books.
2. Monthly report on Budget vs expenditure according to each funding partner
3. Ensure all the payments are made on time.
4. Maintain files for all funding partners
5. Maintain stock register and track the distributions
6. Any other duties assigned by your supervisor.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Creative and open minded
• Excellent computer working skills (Proficient in microsoft package)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly self motivated
• Honest, modest committed to work and team player
• Good communication and inter-personal skills, team player, able to work under minimum supervision.
• Must be proficient in Quick books Accounting software
• Must be willing to learn new skills

Entry Qualifications

• CA Zambia, ZICA Licentiate/Degree in Accounting/Finance or similar
• Must be a paid-up member of ZICA
• Not less than two years work experience in a Non Profit Making Organisation(NGO)
• The Position is on contractual basis
