Reporting to the Surveillance and Access Control Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of accurate and timely admin clerical service to the Security Department.
Your duties & Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following: –
– Ensure positive and effective implementation of Barrick Security policies and procedures inclusive of the company’s commitment to the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.
– Ensure compliance with overarching statutory requirements and adherence to international norms.
– Represent Lumwana Copper Mine on the mine site as an Administrative Clerk.
– Ensure the necessary programs and reporting functions that will facilitate timely reporting of incidents is adhered to.
– Conduct daily checks of the access control card manufacturing systems.
– Ensure replenishment of Surveillance consumables.
– Manage the archive, used access cards and Gate passes with document control.
– Detect and ensure no loss of product or assets takes place.
– Ensure all the fields are populated on Genetec for all card uses.
– Project plan improvements to Genetec
– Issue Access Cards upon HSE induction, report and record in a daily log all security breaches and suspicious activities in accordance with Lumwana Copper Mine security and operational procedures.
– All Access Cards to have an expiry date.
– All Access Cards to have a photograph attached.
– Assist and advise on the development of CCTV security procedures, equipment and deployment
To be considered for the position, the applicant must have the following;
– Grade 12 Certificate
– Information Technology/ Computer Certificate desirable
– Experience: At least 2 years relevant experience in an administrative/ secretarial role
– Must be able to pass integrity testing, which may include polygraph testing.
– Previous employment in a multi-site industrial environment an advantage.
– Must have good written and oral communication skills in English
– Proven ability to deliver results and act as a change agent.
– Demonstrated ability to improve team safety awareness.
– Demonstrated application of continuous improvement ideas
