Job Overview: The ADT/Multiskilled Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of mobile equipment and machinery used in mining operations. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency, adherence to safety protocols, and effective teamwork to achieve project goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mining operations, particularly with dump trucks, excavators, drills, and dozers. This position also involves conducting pre-operation inspections, routine maintenance, and participating in safety meetings to promote a culture of continuous improvement. This job is based in Ghana.
Key Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently operate mobile equipment and machinery to achieve project goals and objectives.

Execute tasks promptly based on instructions from project coordinators.

Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance of mobile equipment to ensure proper functioning and prevent downtime.

Assist with loading and unloading operations, utilizing proper techniques and tie-down procedures.

Monitor mobile equipment movement schedules and execute equipment moves as instructed.

Handle and maintain tie-down equipment to ensure they are in good condition and ready for use.

Follow established procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, and environmental incidents.

Collaborate with team members to coordinate activities and achieve project objectives.

Keep accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and equipment movement operations.

Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:

Must speak English

Minimum of a high school certificate; additional technical training or certification is a plus.

Minimum 5 years of experience in mining operations, with proficiency in operating mobile equipment.

Experience with and operating ADT, dump trucks, excavators, drill rigs, and dozers.

Ability to perform routine maintenance, fault identification, and pre-start checks on equipment.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Valid driver’s license.

Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions.

Experience in moving mining equipment using low-loader/float or similar equipment is advantageous.

Knowledge and experience of tie-down techniques, procedures, and safety regulations.
