Job Description

Zambezi Innovate is looking for an Agriculture Extension Officer to assist farmers and agricultural stakeholders by providing advice and technical support on sustainable farming practices, crop management, and modern agricultural technologies.
Key Responsibilities
:

Conduct training sessions for farmers on modern farming techniques and best practices.

Provide technical support and advice on crop production, soil management, and livestock care.

Assist farmers in solving agricultural challenges by applying scientific research and knowledge.

Promote sustainable agriculture practices to improve productivity and profitability.

Work closely with local farming communities to understand their needs and challenges.

Monitor and evaluate the progress of agricultural projects.

Prepare and deliver extension reports, presentations, and educational materials.
Requirements
:

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Extension, or related field.
-
At least 3 years of experience in agricultural extension or rural development.
-
Strong knowledge of local farming practices and challenges in Zambia.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to work closely with rural communities and understand their needs.
-
Proficiency in data collection and report writing.
