ANALYST – DATA QUALITY, SALARY GRADE ZRA06 (5 POSITIONS), BUSINESS FACILITATION, DATA ANALYTICS FUNCTION

A. PURPOSE

Reporting directly to the Senior Analyst – Domestic Taxes, the job holder will be responsible for implementing initiatives to identify and remediate data quality issues, developing procedures to enhance data accuracy and integrity, and providing support for operationalization of data quality policies and guidelines across the organization.

B. MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.    Monitor data quality and accuracy throughout the data lifecycle.
2.    Ensure data consistency and reliability across systems and platforms.
3.    Implement data quality standards and procedures.
4.    Detect and report data discrepancies and breaches.
5.    Collaborate with teams to achieve data quality norms.
6.    Collaborate with IT teams and other data stewards to diminish data redundancies and overlaps.
7.    Ensure adherence to data governance procedures.
8.    Maintain accurate metadata for data context and lineage.
9.    Apply data quality principles and guidelines.
10.    Support data stewardship efforts for data quality and management.
11.    Assist in data projects and process improvement.
12.    Optimize data workflows for better accessibility and usability.
13.    Assist in developing KPIs for data governance success.
14.    Ensure data accuracy and trustworthiness in processes.
15.    Integrate data quality processes into existing workflows
16.    Providing support in converting business requirements into analytical outputs;
17.    Providing input into the unit monthly report;
18.    Using expertise in business subject area to develop and interpret statistical models; and
19.    Implementing the Performance Management Development System in accordance with HR Guidelines.

C. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1.    Grade Twelve School Certificate/General Certificate of Education Equivalent with five (5) Credits or better;
2.    Bachelor’s Degree in a field such as Data Science, Management Information Systems, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field; and
3.    Minimum two (2) years relevant post qualification work experience.
