Job Purpose

The Application Developer will be responsible for producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements. Testing and deploying programs and applications. Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software. Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance. Observing user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products. Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects.

Primary Areas of Accountability:

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology / Information Systems or Computer Sciences
Must have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in software development
Proven knowledge of Web services, Cloud Hosting, mobile applications, backend systems, Data Protection Act and other privacy considerations
Good Knowledge of enterprise, information and data architecture, database design and interfacing techniques of systems
Good Knowledge of Knowledge of Cloud Hosting, mobile applications, backend systems, POPI and other privacy considerations
Must be comfortable with applicable development tools and building code
Must have proficiency in popular coding languages, including PHP/MySQL/C#/SQL/CSS/HTML
