Job Description
ASSET AND LIABILITY MANAGEMENT (ALM) OFFICER (Grade: ZNBS 6)
To provide effective and timely resolution of Balance Sheet risks and to provide forecast information to the Asset and Liability Management Committee (ALCO) to aid decision-making.
Duties and Responsibilities

Cashflow planning and forecasting.

Capital planning and allocation.
-
Preparation of the Funds Transfer Pricing report.

Develop scenarios and assumptions for stress testing liquidity, interest rate and capital risks.

Conduct risk-adjusted performance measurement.

Monitoring, reviewing, and providing assessment of ALM strategies.
-
Preparation of monthly and quarterly ALCO reports.

Balance Sheet optimization strategies
-
Monitor and manage the Society’s maturing investments in Government securities and re-investing at
-
the most profitable rates as well as reinvesting for customers as required.

Advise businesses on short-term strategies to manage money market exposure.

Ensure deposit and funding rates are competitive to develop and increase relations with customers.
Qualifications and Experience
-
Grade Twelve (12) certificate.
-
Full ACCA, CIMA, Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
-
At least 2 years of relevant banking experience.
-
ACI Dealing Certificate will be an added advantage.
