Assistant Camp Manager
to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in one of Africa’s most pristine and remote wilderness areas, delivering unforgettable experiences to our local international guests.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily meetings with all Head of Departments to discuss lodge duties and to address any guest, lodge issues and daily activities

Deal with any Human Resource issues

Lodge walk through checking on villas, main areas, back of house ensuring the staff are completing duties and record any maintenance issues

Office administration and communication with the Operations manager

Communicate with the administrator on daily office reports; Bed nights, Fuel, mileage, Asset register, Asset disposal forms, Leave forms, off days, time attendance.

Stock incoming, outgoing, recording, issuing, stock movements

Communicate with the Activities Team on all guide and activity related issues

Check on transfers and logistics

Interact with guests at front of house

Follow up on maintenance issues

Reconnect with the Hosts and the Executive Chef on guest activities, menus and meals

Check on weekly order sheet, dry goods, fresh, maintenance, fuel and complete the necessary purchase order forms and send to relevant authorities

Ensure purchase policies are adhered to

Schedule weekly logistics; fuel runs, staff transfers

Submit weekly operations report

Monthly resource planning against bed night report
Requirements

Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management or a related field
-
At least 4 years of Camp management experience.

Experience living and operating in remote safari locations

Excellent planning and organizational skills

Strong initiative and creativity

Excellent ability to build and manage relationships with a wide variety of people and culture.

Computer literate

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
-
Knowledge of the tourism and hospitality industry, with a focus on game tours and eco-tourism

Experience managing a team and delivering exceptional guest experiences
Please Note: This role is based in a remote safari location with limited connectivity and access to urban conveniences. Candidates must be comfortable with living and working in such conditions for extended periods.
