Kwame Nkrumah University invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced members of the public to fill the following vacancies:

2. NON-ACADEMIC POSITIONS

2.4 ASSISTANT INTERNAL AUDITOR

JOB PURPOSE:

To undertake audits in order to help the University to accomplish its objectives and improve the effectiveness of risk management, controls and governance processes.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Prepares individual work plan in order to have organized work flow of activities and output to track individual performance.
Undertakes system reviews relating to academic, financial and administrative functions of the University for compliance and to give audit assurance.
Assists in making follow ups on all audit recommendations for resolution and compliance.
Undertakes the performance of special audits in order to give audit assurance.
Assists in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports in order to support informed decision making.
Assists in the preparation of annual budget for Internal Audit unit in order to meet the set objectives.
Manages effectively human resources in order to achieve the objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate with at least 5 Credits that must include Mathematics and English Language.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Internal Auditing.
Aminimum of two years post qualification experience in internal auditing in a reputable institution.
Must be computer literate.
Professional conduct in compliance with the code of ethics for Internal Auditors is a mandatory requirement.
Member of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) or Institute of Internal Auditors
