ASSISTANT MANAGERS
JOB TITLE: Assistant Manager
REPORTING TO: Store Manager

LOCATION: Choppies Supermarkets Limited Zambia
Duties and Responsibilities:
Organize all store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel
Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance
Prepare and control the store’s budget aiming for minimum expenditure and efficiency
Monitor stock levels and purchases and ensure they stay within budget
Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the store’s reputation
Inspect the areas in the store and resolve any issues that might arise
Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays
Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the store
Analyze sales and revenue reports and make forecasts
Ensure the store fulfills all legal health and safety guidelines
Develop business strategies to raise our customers’ pool, expand store traffic and optimize profitability
Meet sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring and providing feedback to sales staff
Ensure high levels of customers satisfaction through excellent service
Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
Report on buying trends, customer needs, profits etc.
Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
Conduct personnel performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths Deal with all issues that arise from staff or customers (complaints, grievances etc.)
Be a shining example of well behavior and high performance
Additional store manager duties as needed
To be able to conduct maintenance to the store whether in the aspect of function or simply arranging the orders of nay incoming stocks or any available products on the store. As a store manager make sure store activities run well.
• To be able to keep up the records of products and inventories of the store. Any good store keeper must know how to handle the inventories of the store.
• To be able to issue supplies as per the demand of any customers and also be able to maintain any payment history of the transaction.
• To be able to maintain the budget of any expenditures and to be able to report the store finance condition to the manager.
• To be able to conduct monitoring and functioning to all equipment and products of the store .If there any errors, store manager should repot as soon as possible to the immediate supervisors
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION
:
