Job Description

Itezhi Tezhi Power Corporation Limited (ITPC) is a Joint Venture Company owned by ZESCO Limited and The TATA Power Company Limited that built, owns, and operates the 120 Mega Watt Hydro Power Station on the Itezhi Tezhi Dam of the Kafue River in Itezhi Tezhi District.

The Company seeks to recruit suitably qualified persons to fill up the following positions:

ASSISTANT OFFICER-HUMAN CAPITAL_SALARY GRADE IT 6 (ONE POSITION-ITEZHI TEZHI)

Reports to: Head-Human Capital and Development

Job Purpose

To undertake implementation of employees’ conditions of service, human capital and development policies, procedures and programs.

To undertake activities in the maintenance, utilization and disposal of human capital fixed assets, management of the company estate, transport fleet, and outsourced labor engagements

Duties and Principal Accountabilities

Undertake to interpret conditions of service for ITPC employees.
Ensure that ITPC physical and electronic records are properly kept and readily accessible by various authorized users.
Undertake operations that ensure smooth implementation of Human Capital and Development policies in areas of transport fleet, estate management and outsourced labor management.
Ensure that payroll and other documentation for payments to ITPC employees, and outsourced workers and contractors by the department are processed timely.
Implement planned annual activities relating to commemorative events and ensure that facilities for ITPC participation and stake holder support are provided timely and adequately.

Knowledge and Skills

a) Full Grade 12 Certificate
b) Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management.
c) Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management
d) Five (05) years post-qualifying experience in Human Capital & Development work
e) Good communication skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Suite
f) Proficiency in Human Resource and Administrations Practices
g) Must be in possession of a valid driving license of no less than two years h) Age limit 35 years
