An assistant poultry attendant helps ensure the birds are kept according to high standards of health and welfare. You’ll keep them healthy and meet their needs so that the farm can reach its production targets.
As an assistant poultry attendant, your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
1. General bird care including checking temperature, humidity, litter quality, access to feed and water
2. Daily checking of birds to see if they are fit and healthy
3. Reporting any concerns to the poultry attendant/supervisor/manager
4. Following company procedures to ensure high standards of biosecurity
5. Maintaining good environmental standards for the growth of the birds
6. Helping manage the temperature control, lighting and watering system for the birds
7. Any other duties as assigned by poultry attendant/supervisor/manager
