Back Office Solutions Limited is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Associate Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with some foundational accounting experience to take on more responsibility and grow within a dynamic consultancy firm. You will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, and contributing to budgeting and analysis processes.
Key Responsibilities:
– Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
– Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
– Process invoices, expense claims, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
– Perform bank reconciliations and support cash flow management activities.
– Support the budgeting process by gathering data, performing variance analysis, and assisting with forecast preparations.
– Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and relevant documentation.
– Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
– Provide support during audits by gathering financial documentation and responding to inquiries.
– Contribute to financial analysis and help with reporting on key business metrics.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role or relevant internship experience.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage is a plus).
– Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
– Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision in data entry.
– Good organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
– Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
– Proactive attitude with a willingness to take on new challenges and learn.
