About the job
Conducts scheduled maintenance on automotive machinery, systems, and heavy duty machinery
Assembles mechanical components according to specifications.
Examines (automotive) machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine anomalies
Preforms routine maintenance tasks on outboard engines
Designs a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades for all units in production
Maintains work logs, repairs, and maintenance records for all units in production
Monitors inventory and order new parts when necessary.
Offers consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures to boats and heavy duty machinery
Performs vehicle Assessments using checklist and alert clients on issues that will prohibit their vehicles from passing inspections.
Conducts daily, weekly inspections and checks and lubrication on all assets.
Establishes and maintains cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Qualifications
Grade Twelve (12) Certificate
Craft certificate in Auto mechanics or better
Valid Driver’s License Experience
3 Years of Automotive experience in the trade which may include an apprenticeship and/or applicable vocational training or any equivalent combination of training and experience
Experience in Automotive Equipment, Maintenance and Repair
Experience working on outboard engines preferred
Experience working in an FMCG Industry is an added advantage
