Complete Mining Services Zambia Limited is a mineral exploration drilling company with operations in Zambia. An industry leader in safety with ambitious growth strategies, we are seeking applications for the following position by dedicated and professional individuals who would like to join our dynamic team. This position will provide the opportunity to be part of a team that contributes towards the exciting growth of the mining industry in Zambia.

We offer opportunities to work in Zambia on 14- and 7-days roster with a competitive remuneration package.

We are looking for a dedicated and professional individual who has the following skills and experience, to join our maintenance team in Zambia.

Boilermaker

Location: Lumwana, Zambia

Responsibilities

• Proactively promote safety as the central theme of their actions whether engaged on site or off site
• Proactively identify HSE hazards and implement effective risk management activities
• Progressively strive to develop skill levels pertaining to safety management practices and protocols
• Responsible for the monitoring of conformance with pertinent HSE and legislative requirements and providing accurate, timely feedback to the management team
• Undertake identified Compliance Activity Requirements
• Provide on the job training and mentoring of employees
• Work with Trainers in the coordination and set-up of work schedules and on-the-job training sessions
• Specific activities may include boiler-making, welding, fabrication, modification of existing equipment site set up, general fitting and field fitting of fabricated or repaired and/or modified components.
• Inspect and monitor work in progress and ensure quality standards are maintained
• Co-ordinate activities of units
• Assist with sourcing and monitoring inventory
• Complete job record report sheets for all equipment maintained
• Complete daily time sheets
• Ensure compliance to safe work policies and procedures and maintain a safe and tidy work environment
• Assist in the development of maintenance welding and fabrication procedures
• Adherence to site safety policies and procedures
• Undertake preventative maintenance as per the preventative maintenance program
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• Sound knowledge of all aspects of equipment repair including boiler-making, engine rebuilds, light vehicle and truck mechanics, auto electrical repairs and installations, general fitting and field fitting
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Sound mechanical knowledge of drilling equipment & trouble shooting
