Job Description

The Position holder will be required to carry out the duties outlined below. Must have experience of at least 5 years in management position.

Main Adminstrative Responsibilities

1. Devising and maintaining office systems, including data management.

2. Dealing with incoming email, often corresponding on behalf of the Board.

3. Act as marketing intermediary .

4. Organising and attending meetings and ensuring meetings are well prepared and coordinated.

5. Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff

6. Writing board minutes

7. Planning, organising, and managing events

8. Managing budgets for events.

9. Ensure timely collection of all Monies due from clients.

10. Contribute to report writing, executive summaries and newsletters

11. Preparing Presentations and quarterly reports.

Main Programmatic Responsibilities

1. Strategize, initiate and implement programs for membership mobilization in order to strengthen already existing branches and establishment of new branches so as to grow the membership.

2. To initiate and coordinate the implementation of programs or projects including sports or recreation and other membership related activities at branch and local levels.

3. To develop marketing materials for the promotion of the organisation’s activities.

4. Initiate fund raising activities.

5. To coordinate youth recreation, health and HIV/AIDS related activities.

6. To produce monthly and quarterly reports of all activities in all branches and at local level.

7. To participate in the development of budgets and routine disbursement of project and program funds in line with approved action plans.

8. Develop programs for young people.

9. Identify and initiate partnership with other NGOs of like interests and also strengthen and ensure continuity of already existing partnership with other NGOs or organisations.

10. Initiate partnerships and to establish links with other Civil Society organisations within and outside the country that will benefit the organisation financially and also in terms of youth program exchange or empowerment programs and trainings .

11. To develop and establish an advocacy program on issues affecting youths in the country.

12. To establish strong links with relevant GOVERNMENT wings and to lobby for funding from the GOVERNMENT for youth projects or programs.
