Job Description
Our client, a growing player in the car hire sector, is seeking two dynamic and results-driven Branch Managers to oversee operations in Lusaka and Kitwe, respectively. Candidates are encouraged to apply for the branch within their region.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fleet & Operations Management

Oversee allocation, dispatch, and tracking of vehicles.

Ensure all vehicles are consistently serviced, roadworthy, and properly maintained.

Coordinate inspections, licensing, insurance renewals, and compliance checks.
2. Team Leadership & Supervision
-
Manage and coordinate branch drivers and sales representatives.

Develop duty rosters and monitor staff attendance and performance.

Organize regular training sessions and team briefings.
3. Customer Service Oversight

Uphold high standards of customer service across the branch.

Address and resolve escalated customer complaints promptly and professionally.

Monitor customer satisfaction and implement measures for continuous improvement.
4. Reporting & Administration

Track daily bookings, fleet utilization, income, and expenditure.

Prepare detailed weekly and monthly performance reports.

Maintain accurate inventory records of vehicle accessories and office supplies.
5. Process Improvement & Compliance

Implement and improve systems for booking, dispatch, and fleet tracking.

Identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to improve turnaround time and service delivery.

Ensure full compliance with internal policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
Preferred Candidate Profile:

Highly organized with keen attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.

Valid Zambian driver’s license is mandatory.
Working Conditions:
Role requires a balance between office work and field duties (vehicle inspections, staff monitoring).
Availability for occasional weekend or after-hours responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications and Attributes

Previous experience in car hire services or automotive sales is an added advantage.

Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—with a professional demeanour.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.

Energetic, self-driven, and eager to grow professionally.

Ability to follow structured sales and operational processes.

Well-organized with a goal-oriented mindset.

Membership with the Zambia Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (ZCILT) is highly preferred.
