Access Bank Zambia seeks to recruit vibrant, enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to fill the roles of Branch Managers (20) under the Retail and Digital Banking Department countrywide.

Reporting to the Regional Branch Manager, the successful candidates will perform the following duties:

• Participate in developing strategy and work closely with management to cascade strategy into objectives
• Translate branch strategy into targets per Relationship Officer
• Share strategy with Head of Retail Banking for approval
• Identify opportunities to bring in new business
• Create, implement, and monitor sales plans and hold daily sales meetings
• Follow-up to track scheduling of appointments with customers
• Maintain oversight of call reports generated
• Create, communicate, implement, and monitor sales strategies for walk-in customers

General Pre-requisite

• People skills with an ability to approach, build and maintain relationships
• Good listening and communications skills
• Ability to lead and manage a team to achieve set objectives
• Conflict management, negotiation and influencing skills
• Highly analytical and attentive to detail
• Self-starting, proactive, resourceful, efficient, and deadline-driven

Technical Pre-requisite

• Knowledge of retail banking products, sales processes and banking operations
• Accounting, Risk Management and full MS Office Suite knowledge
• Knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. Labour law)
• Mentoring and coaching skills

Qualifications and Experience

• University Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or other relevant discipline.
• 5+ years retail banking experience with significant sales and client facing exposure plus a proven track-record of team management.
