To this effect, the company is hereby inviting suitably qualified personnel to fill the following positions:

BUSINESS ANALYST & RISK OFFICER (X1)

JOB SUMMARY:

The position of Business Analyst and Risk Manager is a middle management position and the job holder is responsible for managing business risk as well as the company’s investment portfolio in line with strategic goals and objectives of the organization.

REPORTING TO: HEAD FINANCE & INVESTMENT

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for a business;
• Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions;
• Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies;
• Offer commentary on observations and ensure high quality standard of Company business performance;
• Offer expert advice on strategy and policy in line with risk and business goals of the Company; Determine risks and opportunities within portfolio processes and strategy;
• Conduct investment appraisals on all Corporate Projects and advise Corporate Management on best strategy;
• Ensure adequate portfolio risk transfer;
• Oversee portfolio performance against KPI targets and analyse data and trends;
• Identify problems, opportunities and deviations and conduct risk versus return analysis; Setup and foster relationships with business stakeholders; and
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Grade 12 Certificate with at least five (5) credits including Mathematics and English language;
• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or related field from a recognized institution;
• Chartered Financial Analyst professional qualification;
• Must have 8+ years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst in an SME, public or private institution;
• Must have complete working knowledge of international standards and best practices;
• Must possess analytical skills along with logical and critical thinking;
• Proficient in the use of Excel; and
• Must be prepared to undertake further development of business or leadership skills through participation in internal and external training and development.
