Bahesu Foods and Suppliers is a leading provider of high-quality Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), specializing in various food items including paddy rice, polished rice, rice bran, dried cassava, sugar beans, Irish potatoes, sweet potatoes, groundnuts, kapenta, eggs, sample, vegetables, and food essentials. Established in August 2023, we have rapidly grown into a prominent player in the FMCG industry, committed to delivering exceptional products and services to our diverse customer base in Zambia and SADC region.

Position: Business Development Manager- Internship (Based in Mongu)

Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand the company’s market presence and increase revenue.
Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth and opportunities.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Lead negotiations and contract discussions with clients and partners to secure favorable terms and agreements.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative product offerings and marketing strategies to meet customer demands.
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market dynamics, and industry trends to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Prepare and present regular reports, forecasts, and insights to senior management to inform decision-making and strategy development.

Professional Skills and Qualifications :

Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Proven track record of at least 3 years in business development or sales roles within the FMCG industry.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and strategic planning abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with market research techniques and data analysis tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
