Job Summary

Our Client, located in Woodlands, Lusaka, is looking to hire a Bartender at their Lodge, the role holder will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to the overall positive atmosphere of the establishment. The Bartender plays a key role in ensuring a memorable experience for our guests.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes and standards.
• Interact with customers, take orders, and provide recommendations on drink selections.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including stocking and replenishing supplies.
• Check identification to verify the legal drinking age of customers.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments, and provide accurate change.
• Monitor and manage the bar’s inventory, restocking as needed.
• Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper storage and handling of alcoholic beverages.
• Engage with patrons, providing friendly and attentive service.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

Qualifications, Skills, Proficiencies, Experience and Exposure

-Proven experience as a Bartender in a similar environment.
-Knowledge of drink recipes, mixing techniques, and presentation.
-Excellent customer service and communication skills.
-Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change.
-Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy kegs or supplies.
-Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
-Beverage service certification is a plus.
