With support from Sir Ernest Cassel Educational Trust, PEAS has an opportunity to conduct a study Learnings from this study would help PEAS to explore the impact of secondary education, particularly secondary education at a PEAS school, on the lives of individuals after they leave school.
Introduction to PEAS
PEAS (Promoting Equality in African Schools) is a not-for-profit organization with a mission to ensure accessible, quality, sustainable education for all students. Since 2008, PEAS has been building and running affordable, high-quality, and sustainable secondary schools in sub-Saharan Africa and working with governments to support wider improvements across the systems we work in. PEAS currently manages 38 schools in Uganda and Zambia and has designed an evidenced school improvement model that has already improved education provision for over 310,000 learners in PEAS and government schools.
Research Objectives:
The research aims to generate increased understanding regarding what young people are doing after leaving secondary school, including PEAS secondary schools, and to what extent this is in line with their hopes and aspirations.
