The overal duty of the Camp Manageris to assist the Project Manager and to ensure that ATS provides a good product and services to the its clients and stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • The Camp Manager will oversee the Projects performance to the scope of work as defined with the client. The Camp manager will be accountable for the Project achieving the specified standards of performance in all areas of the Projects Operations.
  • Responsible for overseeing the project budget to ensure that the scope of work is achieved
  • Oversee all aspects of the projects stock control function including spot checking stock records for accuracy.
  • Ensure that the project conforms to ATS and Client’s Health and Safety and Environmental Polices.
  • Responsible for accommodation, Food Service Management, the Bar and Restaurant within the project, cleaning services in the offices, public areas, accommodation units & in any other place that ATS is contracted to work in.
  • Manage special Party Catering & any other outside catering functions that ATS might be called upon to do.
  • The Camp Manager will oversee petty cash management.
  • Responsible for invoicing and collecting all payments that are issued and paid on the project site.
  • In charge of public relations within the project.
  • Must handle and resolve all complaints to the client’s satisfaction.
  • People Management within the project – he or she must ensure the project delivers the stated project scope of work, to the agreed budget and develops his team accordingly.

  • Sound Commercial/Financial acumen – financial analysis, budgeting, cost control and stock management.

  • Ability to work and operate in a challenging environment and perform well under pressure.
  • Flexibility with respect to working hours. Knowledge areas;
  • Knowledge of business management principles, including proven financial skills and knowledge of legislation, standards and best practice relevant to the industry e.g. must have good understanding of HACCP/Health and safety standards.
  • Strong banqueting/function background & handling of VIP guests or experience in upmarket functions and events management.
  • Previous experience in the food service industry is essential and experience in high quality mass production.
  • Experience working with a diverse team.
  • Knowledge computer skills, using office software such as Excel, Word and Power Point.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Certificate/Diploma or Degree in any Hospitality related field.
  • Professional Qualification in Project Management will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience or exposure to Camp Management operations.
