Lumwana Mining Company seeks to recruit a highly motivated and committed employee for the position of a
Camp Services Superintendent

Reporting to the Finance and Country Manager, you will be responsible to provide timely support in all Camp, Travel and Staff Transport functions across site.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
-
Responsible for the management of Site Administration Services and Allied Services contracts including accommodation and catering.

Management of services for catering, housekeeping, office cleaning, gardens and grounds and waste management within the areas of responsibility.

Camp Services business partner management for LMC site offices, including:
-
Inflight Management
-
Catering and Allied Services Contract Management
-
Travel Agency Contract Management
-
Staff Transport and Associated Services Contract Management
-
Departmental Management
-
Establish collaborative relationships with functional leaders and provide necessary support to assist with the achievement of LMC objectives and goals.
-
Ensure that site safety objectives are complied with and that safety reporting is in line with site requirements.

Coordinate the Camp Services systems and identify and prioritise improvements, opportunities and formulate alternatives and improvements to systems and processes.

Provide direction and guidance on Travel and Camp related issues to Department Heads.

Directly interact with HODs and Contractor Management in order to manage accommodation requirements and ensure capacity planning and management
-
Ensure compliance with Barrick and government health standards for catering and food safety.

Develop and manage the camp budget.
-
Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures.
-
Prepare financial reports and forecasts.
-
Organize recreational activities and events to promote a positive camp culture.

Responsible for the reliable delivery of Travel and Camp Services including on and off- site Bussing
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
-
Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
-
Masters is an added Advantage
-
Minimum of (8) years experience in a similar site based role or similar corporate role.
-
Experience in working with and directing a large workforce
-
Instinctive understanding of international Food Safety and Hygiene requirements
-
Experience in air travel management
-
Experience in ground transport management
-
Solid understanding of forecasting and budgeting requirements in a large business environment
-
Experience of working in a large business environment and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
