Our client in Zambia is looking for a camp supervisor to join their team for a job vacancy within the conservation industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Active involvement in the operation and delivery of the camp programs
  • Maintain a welcoming, safe, and healthy environment for the clients
  • Plan, implement and supervise all staff with guidance program and camp activities
  • Assist with responding to questions and concerns to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensure programs run on schedule and all required supplies are purchased
  • Learn and teach assigned camp curriculum and weekly camp programming
  • Ensure daily administration tasks are completed
  • Oversee daily camp operations and activities and overall duties of Camp staff
  • Complete all written reports, as required
  • Always maintain the facility in a safe and clean manner and report any problems to the Camp Manager immediately.
  • Ensure that all security measures, policies and facility procedures and health and safety procedures are always followed.
  • Develop and maintain current, accurate and confidential client files.
  • Be familiar with emergency procedures as they pertain to the summer camp program.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High energy, self-starter
  • Excellent people skills and a friendly, responsible, service-oriented attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Educational background in Hospitality or similar.
  • Experience with at least 5 years in a camp setting
  • Able to withstand a physically demanding job (very active job, primarily outdoors)
