MMS specializes in technology, advisory, and services for business improvement in mining, focusing on metallurgical engineering, metal accounting, software, and data engineering.

Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cargo Verification Assistant to join our team on a contract basis. This role is critical in ensuring that all cargoes are accurately inspected and verified, contributing to the efficiency of our operations in Zambia.

Duties Include:

• Physically inspect cargos in the warehouse to ensure that they meet the specified requirements
• Verify quantities and conditions of metals against shipping and storage documents and information logged in the WIRE system
• Record and communicate findings accurately and manage by exception
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, the wider MMS team and the IM logistics teams to proactively ensure uninterrupted operations
• Address and report any discrepancies or issues found during the inspection process
• Maintain strict confidentiality and integrity while handling sensitive information

• Export processes knowledge
• Forklift Operation experience
• Attention to detail and accuracy in cargo verification
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Experience in logistics or supply chain management is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
