Job Summary:
The Cashier will be responsible for managing daily cash transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the finance team in ensuring smooth and transparent financial operations.
Key Responsibilities

Process supplier and service provider payments through online banking platforms and Korridor.

Reconcile supplier accounts regularly, ensuring accuracy of balances and prompt resolution of discrepancies.

Record and track daily operational expenses, ensuring they are processed timely and accurately.

Maintain and reconcile petty cash, ensuring strict adherence to internal controls and full documentation.

Update accounting software daily with all financial transactions (payments, receipts, petty cash, etc.).

Prepare and maintain daily transaction records, cashflow reports, and payment schedules.

Ensure all financial transactions are properly authorized, coded, and supported by relevant documentation.

Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and service providers on payment statuses and account queries.

Assist with month-end reporting and reconciliations.

Support internal and external audits by preparing financial records and documentation.

Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial data and exhibit a high level of integrity.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar finance or cashier role.

Proficiency in any accounting package (e.g., Sage, Pastel, QuickBooks), with daily transaction updates required.

Strong working knowledge of online banking platforms and Korridor.

Proven experience in supplier account reconciliations and managing payment cycles.

Solid understanding of operational expense tracking and internal financial controls.

High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational ability.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other basic office tools.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Honest, trustworthy, and capable of handling confidential financial information.
