Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Mining

Location: Zambia (Expatriation Support for South African Candidates)

Are you a dynamic finance professional with a passion for the mining industry? My client is on the lookout for an exceptional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their team, and lead the financial strategy for their thriving mining operations based in Zambia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial guidance to the executive team, contributing to overall business growth and profitability.
• Risk Management: Develop and implement robust financial controls, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Drive the budgeting process and provide accurate financial forecasts to support decision-making.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring financial objectives align with overall business goals.
• Reporting: Oversee financial reporting processes, presenting clear and concise information to stakeholders at all levels.

Required skills

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 10 years experience in the mining industry
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a finance team.
• Experience in developing and implementing financial strategies in a dynamic and challenging environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

Location and Work Environment:

This role is based in Zambia, and expatriation support will be provided for qualified South African candidates, ensuring a smooth transition.
