, is looking to hire a
Chef
who will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing food preparation, and ensuring the highest standard of culinary excellence. The role holder will play a key role in menu development, kitchen efficiency, and maintaining a positive and collaborative working environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Chef will be responsible for:

Planning and executing a diverse and creative menu in line with
Woodlands Ash Lodge
‘s culinary vision.

Managing and supervising kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.

Ensuring consistent food quality and presentation according to established standards.

Collaborating with management to develop new menu items, taking into account seasonal availability and customer preferences.

Monitoring and controlling food costs, minimizing waste, and maximizing profitability.

Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Staying updated on industry trends, culinary techniques, and new ingredients to bring innovation to the menu.

Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork.
Qualifications, Skills, Proficiencies, Experience, and Exposure
The ideal candidate should have:

A minimum of two years of experience as a Chef.

Proven experience as a Chef in a similar culinary environment.

Relevant certification (preferred).

Strong leadership and management skills.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

Creativity and a passion for culinary arts.

Knowledge of current food trends and culinary techniques.
