Job Vacancy: Chemical Engineer

Job Description:

Nexus Zambia is looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Chemical Engineer to join our team in Lusaka. The Chemical Engineer will be responsible for developing and optimizing chemical processes and manufacturing techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop chemical processes and equipment.
• Conduct research and analyze data to improve existing processes.
• Oversee the manufacturing process for chemical products.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Perform testing and troubleshooting on chemical processes.
• Collaborate with other engineers and professionals to ensure project success.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chemical Engineer or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of chemical processes and engineering principles.
• Proficiency in relevant software and MS Office.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; professional certification (e.g., EIZ) preferred.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and project management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Experience:

• At least 5-7 years of experience in chemical engineering.
