CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER – EIZ PROPERTIES PLC
EIZ Properties Plc is the Engineering Institution of Zambia’s special purpose vehicle for investments. The Company was incorporated in 2014 and commenced operations in January 2023, and is now seeking the services of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The company’s vision is to become a major player in the local economy by investing in key and profitable sectors of the Zambian economy. As a means of aligning realising its key objectives, the company is in the processing of building a management team that will be entrusted with bringing its aspirations to realisation.
Overall responsibilities
The job holder will be responsible for developing quality business plans and strategies, making sure of their alignment with short- and long-term objectives. The job holder will also be responsible for running a high performing managerial team at EIZ Properties and overseeing all business and operation activities of EIZ Properties Plc.
Responsibilities

Provide leadership in the development of EIZ Properties’ Vision, Mission and Goals.

Convert vision into specific actionable strategies, plans, policies and budgets.

Design and implement business strategies that meet the company’s goals and objectives.

Motivate and lead a high performing managerial team.

Grow employee engagement.

Manage all business activities to make sure they are in-line with the company’s strategy.

Increase profits and business efficiency through investing decisions.

Review approved plans and budgets as part of the planning and budgeting process.

Maintain the company’s business ethics and legality through strict adherence to the company’s policies and legal guidelines.

Devise solutions through the review of reports.

Ensuring that financial and profitability objectives are met.

Keep up to date with industry and market trends.

Act as the point of contact for key partners and stakeholders of EIZ Properties PLC.

Developing new and existing partnerships with professional associates to achieve common objectives.

Cultivate a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices and encourages individual integrity and social responsibility.

Ensure effective relationships are established and maintained with investors and other external stakeholders, including government, the financial community and the public.

Provide quarterly and annual certificates addressing the accuracy of the financial statements and accompanying management’s discussion and analysis.

Be a link between the Engineering Institution of Zambia and the EIZ Properties PLC Board.
Requirements

Master’s degree in Business Administration or relevant field as a minimum
-
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Accountancy and Investments.

Prior experience as a CEO for a leading company in its industry

Proven experience in vision implementation and developing strategies

Knowledge of various business functions such as Marketing, HR, Finance, Sales, Investments, etc. Entrepreneurial mindset

Outstanding communication and leadership skills

Knowledge of general management and corporate governance best practices

Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
-
Detailed knowledge and understanding of the industry, including risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Above seven (7) years prior experience
