Job Vacancy: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Job Description:

North Star is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee and manage our financial operations in Lusaka. The CFO will be responsible for developing financial strategies, managing financial risks, and ensuring the financial health of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies and plans.
• Manage the finance department and oversee financial operations.
• Prepare financial statements, forecasts, and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Manage financial risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the executive team.
• Oversee investment activities and manage relationships with investors and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in financial management software.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or professional qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Experience:

• At least 10 years of experience in finance, with significant experience in a leadership role.
