Position Overview
M31 Research is seeking experienced Child Protection Consultants to join our expert team in Zambia. We are looking for professionals with substantial experience working with international organisations such as UNICEF, USAID, and World Bank. The ideal candidates will have a proven track record in Child Protection Assessments, Evaluations, and Technical Assistance, particularly in Zambia, to help safeguard the rights and wellbeing of children.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to child protection assessments, evaluations, and research projects in Zambia, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and impactful results.

Provide technical assistance and advisory support to international organisations, government bodies, and other stakeholders in designing, implementing, and evaluating child protection programmes.

Develop and review project proposals, technical reports, and other documentation specific to child protection interventions, tailored to the Zambian context.

Conduct data analysis and interpret findings to inform child protection policies and programme decisions.

Engage with stakeholders, including local communities, child protection professionals, government officials, and donors, to ensure the relevance and effectiveness of child protection initiatives.

Stay updated on the latest developments, research, and best practices in child protection, especially as they pertain to the Zambian environment.
Qualifications and Experience

A Master’s or PhD in Social Work, Child Protection, Law, Psychology, or a related field.

A minimum of seven years of professional experience in the child protection sector, with significant experience working with international organisations such as UNICEF, USAID, or other major donors.

Demonstrated experience in conducting child protection assessments, evaluations, and providing technical assistance in Zambia.

Expertise in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of child protection programmes, with a focus on achieving tangible outcomes for vulnerable children.

Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations.

Familiarity with data collection tools and methodologies relevant to child protection evaluations.

Fluency in English is required; proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
