Summary:
The work schedule for this position is:

Duties

Incumbent is responsible for coordination on behalf of the PEFPAR Coordination Office (PCO) located at the U.S. Embassy in Lusaka, Zambia. Works under the supervision of the Deputy Coordinator, as civil society is a key stakeholder within the external engagement portfolio. Incumbent will represent PCO with both internal and external partners to ensure that Zambians are cognizant of United States Government (USG) investments in HIV/AIDS and facilitate their participation in the planning and implementation of PEPFAR resources in Zambia. This position also serves as the activity manager for PEPFAR’s Small Grants Program

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of three years experience in grants management and development-related activities, including experience in budgeting and accounting is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:

A general knowledge of the host country public health environment.

Education Requirements:
A university degree in Communications, Business Administration, Public Health, Public Relations, International Development or local equivalent is required.

Fluent English; speaking/reading/writing, may include the ability to translate

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must have good project management skills. Excellent computer skills that include internet searches are required. Must be able to use programs such as MS Word, Excel. Must have good numerical skills to manipulate large numbers. Must have good keyboarding skills that include both moderate speed and accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, tact and cultural sensitivity in dealing with the public are required.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Lusaka, Zambia may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.

For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
