Accountabilities & Responsibility Areas

  • Monitor trucks movements towards and ensure effective clearance at Sakania
  • Receive, inspect and submit customs documents to appropriate customs officers / clearing agents
  • Send daily tracking reports to operations and clearing agents to ensure no delays at the border
  • Ensure trucks expenses at the border are ready, brief the drivers and handover to the same
  • Inspecting the documents to ensure quality (cleanliness, arrangement) during the exchange of the same at the border
  • Ensure drivers are disciplined and in full uniforms while at the border
  • Promote adherence of safety standards at the border all the time
  • General administration of office and supplies
  • M-PESA, Inter Africa, cash and asset administration in liaison with the finance responsible
  • Manage and coach subordinates
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the management

Education, Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of Diploma in Logistics or Clearing and Forwarding
  • Self-motivation, Attention to Detail & Deadline-Oriented
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office Package
  • Have the ambition to help drive the growth of a growing company
  • Good communication and administration skills
  • Very effective organizational skills
  • Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity
