Position Overview:
The Commis Chef will work under the supervision of senior chefs to assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes in line with Ciela Resort & Spa’s fine dining standards. This role is ideal for a passionate, eager-to-learn individual who wants to grow within a professional and high-end kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items across various kitchen sections

Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness

Follow instructions from senior chefs and carry out duties with accuracy and efficiency

Support in the proper storage and labelling of food items

Ensure that all mise-en-place is prepared ahead of service times

Report any kitchen equipment issues or maintenance needs promptly

Comply with all health and safety regulations and food safety standards

Learn and apply culinary techniques as directed by the Sous Chef or Head Chef

Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen deliveries
Qualifications:

Basic culinary training or a certificate in food preparation is an advantage

Previous experience in a professional kitchen is a plus

Strong willingness to learn and grow in a fine dining environment

Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced settin

Good time management and attention to detail

Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays
