Job Description

The Institute now seeks the services of a Compliance Officer.

Overall Job Purpose

To monitor and enforce compliance with the ZIPRC Act No. 11 of 2022 requirements, the Institute’s Code of Ethics for PR and Communication professionals and any other regulations and/or codes of practice that may be prescribed by Council or the Government of Zambia from time to time.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The Compliance Officer will be required to:

1. Carry out regular inspections to monitor and ensure compliance to the ZIPRC Act No. 11 of 2022;

2. Conduct inspections to monitor and promote compliance with the provisions of the ZIPRC Code of Ethics for PR and Communication professionals;

3. Facilitate investigations and/or any other relevant matter of public concern as directed by the Council and submits reports as required;

4. Prepare and furnish compliance and other reports relating to the enforcement of the ZIPRC Act No. 11 of 2022, and any other related legislation;

5. Assist in the generation, reconciliation and delivery of membership invoices in line with corporate ethos;

6. Responsible for the delivery of practicing licences and membership registration certificates;

7. Prepare annual activity plans and budgets for Inspectorate activities; and 8. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Key requirements

1. Full Grade 12 School Certificate with 5 credits or better;

2. Bachelor of Public Relations and Communication or any other related field;

3. Qualification in Law is an added advantage;

4. Fully paid up member of ZIPRC with a valid practicing licence;

5. Industrial experience of at least five (5) years of which three (3) years should have been at middle-Management level;

6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint) and data management software packages; and.

7. Must possess a clean and valid driver’s licence. Interested candidates meeting the above requirements should apply and enclose photocopies of their current detailed Curriculum Vitae, academic and professional qualifications, drivers licence and at least two names of referees.
