We are assisting a mining company to recruit a Construction Project Manager.

1. Job Purpose Summary: To oversee and manage all construction projects from inception to completion. To play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of all construction projects, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Responsible for strategic planning, project management, team leadership, and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels by adherence to company policies and procedures in order to effectively deliver construction projects in an cost effective manner.

2. Professional Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science or a related field.
• Master of Science – Related Field a plus.
• Minimum 10 years’ work experience at senior management position
• Paid up member of EIZ
• Professional certifications (PMP, CCM, LEED, etc.) are desirable

In essence, we are looking for a degree qualified Construction (Project) Manager AND who has good construction project management experience in the mining environment – managing building contractors in terms of requirements, time and budget. In addition, a Project Management qualification will be preferred The incumbent will inter alia be required to project manage building contractors for the construction of staff accommodation, staff offices, staff recreation facilities and community projects where the mine is involved (for example schools, etc.).
