The Company Seeks the Services of a Consultant Paediatrician x1

Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

• Diagnose and promptly/effectively treat all children by standard management protocols of treatment to ensure better patient outcomes and early return to function and hence improve quality of life for all patients resulting in value added contribution to the company.
• Enhance continued education, keep abreast of current developments in the department as well as conducting research.
• Ensure systemic and critical analysis of the quality of child health care including the procedures used for diagnosis and treatment, the use of resources and the resulting outcome and quality of life for the patient.
• Provide medical advice to Management through the Manager relating to patient outcomes.
• To be creative, explicit, and disciplined about objectives/roles/standards in Child Health Care to add significant value to increased productivity and efficiency and reduce waste.
• Provide health education knowledge, attitudes, practices, and behaviour on preventive diseases.
• Ensure that physical facilities, equipment, communication materials etc. are in good working order and personnel are always well motivated for the benefit of the patient.
• Supervise the provision of high-quality services in the field of physiotherapy and child rehabilitation.
• Provide overall leadership in reviewing all child health Care Services to prevent unjustified deviations from the established standards of Care/Practice.
• Teach, train, develop and motivate Medical Officers, Nurses and Paramedical for the provision of high-quality surgical Care.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
• Degree in M. Med , MRCP or equivalent.
• Five years postgraduate practice in the specialty of Paediatrics.
• Ability to communicate clearly to all levels of the organization.
• Team management skills; Good interpersonal skills, Influencing & communication skills, Planning, coordination and controlling skills.

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
